Refreshing Spring Ministries was started in 2011 under the name South Texas Refreshing Spring Ministries Healing Center, DBA Refreshing Spring Ministries and was officially changed to Refreshing Spring Ministries, Inc. in 2015.  In 2018, God called us into a new season and a new anointing.  Like He did with Abram, Saul, and Simon, He changed our name.  Abram became Abraham, Saul became Paul, Simon became Peter, and we became Journey U.

Our mission is to heal and equip the body of Christ and we do that through Prayer Ministry, classes and events, and community outreach, as well as through written materials.

Even believers struggle with life stuff.  This stuff prevents us from fully experiencing God’s love and negatively affects our relationships with others.  We come along side you and help you recognize your life patterns and negative behaviors and how they keep you stuck in life.  We use key Biblical principles to help bring healing to every part of the being; spirit, soul, body (1 Thessalonians 5:23).   These principles are referred to as Spiritual Laws and, like physical laws, when we understand them, we can use them for our good.

We focus on four Spiritual Laws that affect all of our relationships.  These laws are:

“Do not be deceived:  God cannot be mocked.  A man reaps what he sows.  The one who sows to please the sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.  Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:7-9).

“Do not judge, or you too will be judged.  For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” (Matthew 7:1-2)

Also, “You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.”  (Romans 2:1)

“Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live long and that it may go well with you in the land the Lord your God is giving you.” (Deuteronomy 5:16)

“Be kind, and compassionate to each other, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:32)

“In anger his master turned him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed. This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother from your heart.”  Matthew 18:34-35

Understanding and applying these and other spiritual laws… (I’m not sure where to go with this – was thinking keys and locks kind of statement)

“For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” (II Corinthians 10:3-3)
